About this line
The Russian Dr. Death is the factory's first collaboration with a Western knifemaker, Tom Mayo, based on his Dr. Death design. The first version, with a full titanium handle, was released in September 2015 in a run of 100. Holes on both the presentation and lock sides and on the pocket clip are Mayo's recognizable elements, and the milled holes and deep internal pockets keep the all-titanium knife light. The second version, the Russian Dr. Death CF, followed in May 2016 with a carbon fiber presentation scale and a stonewashed blade, 12 grams lighter, in a run of 200. The third, the Russian Dr. Death Arctic, came in October 2019 with a Bjorkman's Twist Damasteel blade and a 3D contoured silver Alutex presentation scale, in a run of 100; because the damascus pattern would hide the logos, they were placed on a titanium inlay in the presentation side. The Arctic carries a notched thumbrest, a titanium backspacer with lanyard hole and jimping, a stainless lockbar insert and a tip-up clip with a hole through both clip and frame.
