About this line

The Russian Hokkaido is the collaboration with John Barker released on 10 October 2018, based on his Hokkaido. Barker's original was a large, sturdy folder with an aggressive tanto blade, and Sergey Shirogorov kept that concept while making his usual changes to the design. The blade has a tanto tip, a wide swedge and a notched thumbrest, and opens on a flipper. The titanium scales are anodized bronze with complex milling inside and out, and the backspacer and pivot collars are bronze; the backspacer has five deep notches and a wide lanyard ear. As on the RFT, the body screw attaches to the front scale from the inside, so only the pivot screw is visible on the presentation side. The weight is substantial, in keeping with the character of the knife. The run was 200 pieces.
